At NPE, Tune in to The PT Knowledge Network

We'll be bringing the pages of Plastics Technology to life at Booth 3303.

You’ll find this network not on your television, but in Booth 3303, April 1-5, at the Orlando Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. That’s the  week of NPE2012, the first time the triennial plastics show will be held in Florida.

Booth 3303 is in the West Hall. It’s the Plastics Technology booth. Our theme for the booth is consistent with our mission each time we visit a processing plant, write or edit an article, update our website, send out an e-newsletter or host a webinar: provide useful knowledge to our audience of plastics processors by acting as a conduit between them and the experts in the field.

So how does a business such as our do this at a trade show? By bringing to life the pages of the magazine and exposing show attendees to the depth and breadth of product offerings of the Plastics Technology brand and those of its sister publications aligned with the plastics field.

We will be holding a series of short seminars at our booth throughout the exhibit. Our speakers will be the same columnists and insiders who provide the technical tips, insights, and know-how you’ve come to expect from Plastics Technology. Expert minds in materials science, injection molding, extrusion, tooling/mold repair, and more. There for you…not only to listen to, but to engage with.
Our program is still fluid…we’ll be adding another speaker or two as we firm things up. But it’s not too soon to outline the agenda we have finalized so far:

Monday. April 2
3:00-3:45: How Mold and Melt Temperature Influence Part Properties, Michael Sepe, Michael P. Sepe LLC

Tuesday, April 3
10:30-11:15: How To Set Pack and Hold Pressure in Injection Molding, John Bozzelli, Injection Molding Solutions

3:00-3:45: Optimizing The Performance of Your Extruder, Jim Frankland, Frankland Plastics Consulting LLC

Wednesday, April 4
10:30-11:15: Tuning Your Industrial Blow Molding Process for Greater Efficiencies, Robert Slawska, Proven Technology Inc.

3:00-3:45: Five Things You Need to Know To Improve Mold Maintenance, Steve Johnson, MoldTrax

We’ll have lots more going on at our booth as well. I’ll save that for next month’s editorial. In our next issue we will also whet your appetite with comprehensive reports on all the new technology you’ll see at the show. In the meantime, mark your calendar for these seminars at our booth.
