Get in the 'Zone'

Have you ever wished you had a secretary to page through each issue of PLASTICS TECHNOLOGY and earmark just the articles related to your job? Well, here's a "virtual" alternative. It's on our website (www.ptonline.com), and we call it the "Zones." It's part of our website's new look that's designed to deliver the information you want more directly.

A Zone is a collection of information specific to a major subject area. For example, in the Injection Molding Zone, you'll find archives of our articles on injection molding, a directory of products and suppliers for injection molders, a database of the properties of commercial injection molding materials, and books on molding topics. Later, we'll add interactive forums where you can pose questions or voice opinions and see what your peers have to say.

Initially, we are offering four Zones dedicated to injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, and compounding. We'll be adding Zones on other processes and activities, such as thermoforming, thermosets and composites, RIM and urethanes, testing and QC, recycling and scrap reclaim, materials handling, printing and decorating, and welding and assembly.

What else is new on our site? We have made its full content visible at a glance and accessible with just one click. We also have a complete on-line version of our latest issue, a new page on pricing trends, a searchable calendar of events, and a plastics bookstore.
