Revolution collects waste film directly from end users of its original film product, creating a closed loop process. The company received an FDA letter of no objection in December 2021, allowing Revolution to market PCR-LLDPE for food contact conditions of use B through H, with recycled content levels up to 100%.

Conditions of use are described by federal regulations.
Conditions of Use for Food Contact Materials
A  High temperature heat-sterilized.
B  Boiling water sterilized.
C  Hot-filled or pasteurized above 150° F.
D  Hot-filled or pasteurized below 150° F.
E  Room Temperature filled and stored.
F  Refrigerated storage.
G Frozen storage.
H Frozen or refrigerated storage of ready-prepared food intended to be re-heated in the container at time of use.

Revolution and CNG are activators of the U.S. Plastics Pact, targeting 30% recycled content by 2025. Representatives of both companies will join a panel discussion on film recycling March 7 at the upcoming Plastics Recycling Conference.
