Nanoplas (Grandville, Mich.) a supplier of injection mold coatings and maintenance products, released MIN-LUBE high-performance grease designed for severe environments but also capable of working in food and pharmaceutical related industries.

Rated NSF H1 for incidental food contact, MIN-LUBE features a mineral oil base thickened with a proprietary calcium sulfonate complex and an additive package focused on thermal, oxidative and mechanical stability. It also contains Micronox to provide antimicrobial protection and prevent degradation of the lubricant. Nanoplas says MIN-LUBE’s properties mean it will not dry-out, cake or bleed in high-temperature applications.

A nano organic pressure additive is used for wear protection, allowing better uniformity in the grease, while minimizing the chance that the grease will dry out. MIN-LUBE’s filming layer protects the metal components by having the nano organic additives polish and smooth the structure of the steel. This creates a smoother and smoother surface, with the process completed chemically within the grease so that no particles are created during the process.

Compatible with lithium-type greases, MIN-LUBE is ideal for use with mold components as well as bearings, bushings, cams, cables, chains, conveyors, gears and more. The grease product provides high load-bearing properties and wear protection, while extending the lifetime of machinery. Nanoplas says this is due to the compound’s extreme mechanical stability, which shows no evidence of shear breakdown in the ASTM test modified to create severe lubricant stress.

Nanoplas says extensive corrosion testing, including a severe salt fogging test, proved that MIN-LUBE also protects against rust and corrosion at a level unmatched by other food-grade lubricants. The new lubricant is a registered NSF Nonfood Compound Category Code: H1. Additionally, it contains no metals, PTFE or silicone.

MIN-LUBE grease is now available online and shipped nationwide in 16-oz jars, 12-packs of 16-oz cartridges or 5-gal pails.
