Matte Colorless Masterbatch for Gloss Reduction

A new colorless compound that reportedly delivers cost-effective and sustainable gloss reduction in HDPE and PP multilayer applications has been launched by masterbatch supplier Ampacet. Muted Matte PE is designed for blow molding and sheer extrusion applications in several market sector categories including beauty and personal care, nutraceuticals, pet care and thermoformed trays.
Muted Matte PE is said to provide the appearance of translucent tactility without limiting recyclability or modifying tool cavities. When used to displace soft touch resins, Muted Matte supports a brand’s sustainability focus.
