Covestro Realigns Polycarbonate Distribution
Amco Polymers will continue to distribute Covestro’s Texin and Desmopan TPU resins but not its PC portfolio.
Covestro announced that effective April 1, 2024, Amco Polymers will no longer be a distributor of the company’s polycarbonate products which include Makrolon PC, Apec high-heat PC and Makroblend PC/PBT blends. Covestro will accept PC orders from Amco Polymers through March 1, 2024, after which time Amco Polymers will remain an authorized distributor for Covestro’s Texin and Desmopan family of TPU resins, according to the mutually arrived decision for PC realignment.
According to George Paleos, v.p. of Covestro Americas business entity engineering plastics, sales and market development, Covestro’s PC products are available through authorized national distributors Formerra, LLC and M. Holland Company; as well as a direct sale. Questions should be directed to Covestro account management or can be addressed by phone at +1 412 413 3034.
