Drilled Thermal Insulating Sheets Come Pre-Machined as Standard
Hasco says the the thermal insulating sheets prevent uncontrolled heat dissipation and feature pre-drilled holes for guide pillars and clamp-plate screws, as well as centering and fixing holes.
Hasco’s says its new drilled thermal insulating sheets keep tool heat from affecting the molding machine’s platens, applying high thermal compressive strength for use in highly stressed molds. Provided as standard flange with pre-drilled holes for guide pillars, clamp plate screws, centering and fixing holes, the sheets are available in three different versions. Z12010/… is designed for overhanging in the lateral direction, while Z12012/… can be used for overhanging in the longitudinal direction with Z12015/… applicable for flush clamping plates.
Hasco says the sheets provide excellent heat insulation and chemical resistance, with energy savings of up to 50% reportedly possible. In terms of dimensional stability, the thermal insulating sheets are made of high-grade glass fiber that is joined with high-temperature resin resulting in a coefficient of expansion that is comparable to steel’s. For medical and clean rooms scenarios, customers can select a high-performance coating that seals the surface and protects it from abrasion.
