Free Cooling Chiller System Launches
Delta T Systems enters the free cooling space with a line that uses ambient air to cool the process fluid.
Delta T Systems has launched the Free Cooling System, also known as a fluid cooler or dry cooler, applying ambient air to cool process fluid for a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternative to traditional refrigeration chillers.
The Free Cooling Chiller uses a microprocessor controller to ensure precise temperature control, as well as an integrated free cooling module that maximizes the use of ambient air. The system also features a modular design that enables easy installation, maintenance, and customization.
The Free Cooling Chiller, Fluid Cooler, or Dry Cooler, is available now and comes with warranty and support, including installation, commissioning and maintenance.
Temperature ranges from -10 to 180F (-12C to 82C) with cooling capacity from 1 to 50 tons, and Delta T says that usually, a minimum difference of 10F (5C) between ambient air and process temperature is sufficient for “free cooling.”
The unit features a small footprint with lift-off panels for easy access, as well as state-of-the-art controls, including flexible remote communication options and extensive digital data collection. The adaptive control can reduce downtime and the cooling system featuring variable speed EC fan motors, as well as microchannel heat exchangers for more surface area in a smaller package.
The system has pressure and temperature sensors for fluid in and out, as well as a tank level and to-process pressure sensor. It has a 4-in touch screen display with optional cloud services and remote monitoring available. At the time of an alarm event, data are captured.
